Counties Manukau Police have this morning executed a search warrant at two properties on Great South Road, Manurewa.
Great South Road was closed between Alfriston Road and Mahia Road from around 5:30am while the warrant was executed.? Police entered the properties in seach for 35 year old Ian Evans, who is wanted on a Parole Recall Warrant and is known to frequent both addresses.
Detective Sergeant Craig Bolton says that the search for Mr Evans continues.? ¡°Unfortunately Mr Evans was not located during this search warrant, but Police did recover a stolen Isuzu ute which had two different stolen registration plates, as well as some drug paraphernalia and some other items that will be investigated by the Clan Lab team.¡±
The vehicle was stolen from a dealership in January this year.
Police are interested to hear from anyone who knows anything about Ian Evans¡¯ whereabouts.?
¡°Police consider him to be armed do not approach him.? If you see him, call 111 immediately,¡± says Detective Sergeant Bolton.
