Auckland City Police can now confirm that the body recovered from Auckland harbour on Sunday 18 October was that of missing Indian student Mandeep Singh.
Mr Singh¡¯s death is now the subject of a Coroner¡¯s enquiry.
Acting Detective Senior Sergeant Marcia Murray said: ¡±Our thoughts are with family and friends of Mandeep and?we ask that their privacy is respected at this time.¡±
