Police pleased with behaviour at Christmas in the Park

1 min read

Auckland Police are pleased with the outcome of last night¡¯s 22nd?Coca-Cola Christmas in the Park, which was held at the Auckland Domain and was an alcohol-free event.

¡°There were minimal issues during the concert and good use was made of public transport for patrons travelling to and from the venue¡± says Inspector Peter Gibson, Operations Manager, Auckland City Police.

Inspector Gibson says that continuing to make Christmas in the Park alcohol-free makes perfect sense for a family-friendly event.

"We're committed to minimising alcohol harm to all, in whatever context¡± he says.

This message was heeded as there were only 4 arrests at the Auckland Doman, for behaviour-related offending and breach of bail conditions.
