Man sought and homicide investigation started in Waikato

A 60-year-old woman has died following an incident at an address in the Waikato town of Otorohanga yesterday evening.

A 64-year-old man was found wounded at the same dwelling. He was flown to Waikato Hospital, where he is in a critical condition in ICU.

Both had sustained knife wounds.

Emergency services were alerted at approximately 8.30pm.

Police are seeking 34-year-old Ross Douglas Bremner in connection with the incidents. Police teams, including the AOS, are looking for him in the Otorohanga area.?

Mr Bremner is known to the victims.

¡°We want to send a message to the community that Police has taken steps to ensure all is being done to keep people safe while we investigate this matter,¡± says Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Greene.

¡°However, if any local person has any concerns, they should not hesitate to call Police,¡± he says.?

Anyone who sees Mr Bremner or has any information about his whereabouts is asked to call 111.
