Police are appealing for sightings of a stolen vehicle which failed to stop for Police in Invercargill last night.?

The vehicle, a green 1989 Ford Telstar hatchback, registration number OK 934, was reported stolen from a residential Invercargill property on the evening of 7 December.?

A police unit spotted the vehicle last night in Saturn Street, Invercargill, and signalled the vehicle to pull over. ?The vehicle instead fled from Police.

Police initially pursued the vehicle but abandoned the pursuit after the driver of the vehicle appeared to attempt to run over police staff laying road spikes.?
