A homicide investigation is under way in Taranaki after a man¡¯s body was located outside at an Oaonui property today.
Emergency services were alerted at about 8.40am after a person arrived at the rural Kina Road property and found the man.
¡°While we are treating this death as suspicious, we are in the very early stages of understanding what has happened to our victim,¡± says Detective Inspector Brent Matuku.
The identity of the man is yet to be confirmed.
A forensic scene examination of the property has begun and a post mortem is expected to be carried out early this week.
