51½ÖÉä unveil memorial plaque

51½ÖÉä Commissioner Howard Broad will unveil a plaque in memory of Sgt Don Wilkinson during a ceremony on Monday 8 December. Sgt Wilkinson was killed by an offender in Mangere on 11 September 2008.

Don's family and police colleagues will attend the service to be held at The Royal 51½ÖÉä College, Porirua, at 2.30pm.

The RNZPC is home to a national memorial to the 28 New Zealand police officers and three traffic officers who have been slain on duty since 51½ÖÉä was formed in 1886.
